ASVA is an English Medium Co-educational School, affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The syllabus is the same as followed in similar CBSE English Medium Schools. Any Student, finding it difficult to continue in the CBSE Unit English Medium, shall be able to switch over to the Bengali Medium Unit or English Medium of West Bengal Board at Barrackpore and continue there till the Class-X Examination and follow the school curriculum which are compulsory for all students under West Bengal Board.
Students will be allowed to take Hindi language in all classes as per Norms of CBSE. This Mission has been declared status of Religious Denomination Institution under Article 26 of the Constitution of India by the Honble Supreme Court of India, therefore, this school will be run as per objects of the Mission with special importance to the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Ma Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda through education and other school curriculum which are to be followed by all students compulsorily.
Founder of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission, Rev. Swami Nityanandaji Maharaj had a long cherished desire to set up a school under Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi and for that purpose he contacted the then Delhi Govt. Headed by Hon’ble CM of Delhi Smt. Shila Dikshit but he could not start it for not having NOC from the Govt. of West Bengal at that time.
